Daisy Gonzalez

(Business Agent)

  Daisy was born May 27,1963 in New York. and moved to Florida in 1968. She graduated from Hialeah High School, Florida. She received her  Medical Assistant license and  worked in the  medical  field for approximately two years. Daisy then became employed in the insurance department of Teamsters  Local  Union  769 in 1983. Throughout the following twenty years,   Daisy held a number of positions with the Local Union which included Insurance Clerk, Pension Clerk, Secretary, Secretary for  the President, Bookkeeper, Executive  Assistant and  Administrative  Assistant. While in the position of Administrative Assistant she started training with the Business Agents. In January of the year 2000 she became a Business Agent.

       During Daisy's tenure as Business Agent she has been involved in various victorious organizing campaigns and has and has participated in negotiating various contracts, along with handling many greivances. She represents members who are paramedics, EMT's, City employees,  employees in the gas industry, food preparation and distribution to airlines, route sales  drivers, valets  and  parking  cashiers. These contracts fall under the National Labor Relations Board (N.L.R.B.)  and  the Public  Employees  Relations  Commission (P.E.R.C.)
