On December 9, 2005 at 5:00 PM EST there was a conference
call between all
IBT/CAL local business agents and the rank-in-file negotiating
committee.
The purpose of the call was to inform the local unions and
the committee of the
tentative agreement reached between the IAM and CAL for the
represented flight
attendants.
The call was hosted by Rodney Rhoades, principal
officer of Local 19 in
Houston, Texas. Rodney has been in communication with Mike Campbell,
CAL
Counsel and chief company negotiator with regards to details of the
tentative
agreement.
Rodney was told that the company reached its $72M ask
from the flight
attendant group and that, per the IBT Agreement we would have access
to the
full document.
On Friday December 16, 2006, members of the committee &
IBT economist Norm
Weintraub will sit down to review the document and to do the
necessary costing.
Subsequent to that meeting we will provide you with the analysis of
Mr.,
Weintraub as it pertains to the cost savings reached in the
tentative agreement.
