J. Keith Pascalis

(Business Agent)

  Keith was born in Coral Gables, Florida and raised in the City of Miami, Florida. He has  lived in South Florida all of his life. Keith Attended and graduated from Miami Christian School in 1974. He also  Miami  Dade  Community  College,  South  Campus  where  he  studied  computer  science  and  earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1976.  He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville from 1977 to 1978. Keith currently resides in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

        In March of 1979, Keith was hired by  United Parcel Service  as a service provider. He worked at the Miami facility as a package car driver in the Gables, Central,  and the Miami  Beach  centers.  During  this  time,  Keith  was  made  a  Shop  Steward  and  began  representing  the  members of Teamsters Local Union #769.   When the UPS Hialeah facility opened in 1987,  he moved up to the feeder division.  During his  23 1/2 years at UPS,   Keith has handled  hundreds of grievances and served on various committees addressing safety as well as the KORE Committee. He was also a member of the  Hurricane Andrew  relief committee in  August  and  September of 1992. During the 2002 contract negotiations between the International  Brotherhood  of  Teamsters  and  UPS,  Keith served as the contact  coordinator for  the Hialeah  facility.   Beginning in  November of 2002,  Keith assumed his current position as a  Business Agent with  Teamsters Local Union #769. His responsibilities  include  organizing  new  members,   negotiating  labor  agreements  and resolving disputes between members and the companies they work for.
