Born
in
Queens,
New
York,
John
grew
up
in a
family
of
Teamsters.
After
completing
high
school,
John
himself
joined
the
Teamsters
Union
and
in
the
early
90’s
moved
to
South
Florida
with
his
family.
In
1995,
he
found
employment
with
Rinker
Materials
in
Pompano
Beach
Florida
as a
block
truck
driver.
After
working
as a
block
truck
driver
John
cross-trained
on a
mixer
truck
and
later
became
a
front-end
loader
operator.

John
served
as a
shop
steward
for
many
years
and
volunteered
to
assist
Teamsters
Local
Union
769
in
organizing
campaigns
as
well
as
political.
In
2000,
John
was
involved
in
the
Presidential
recount
for
Broward
and
Palm
Beach
County.
In
2003,
Local
769
sent
John
to
Iowa
to
help
assist
the
International
Brotherhood
of
Teamsters
with
the
Democratic
Caucus.

In
April
2004,
President
Mike
Scott
hired
John
as
the
local’s
first
organizer.
John
later
became
a
business
agent
and
is
currently
representing
the
following
companies:
The
City
of
Fort
Lauderdale,
Rinker
Materials,
Power
Mix,
Miami
Transfer,
Waste
Management,
Marks
Brothers,
and
the
Village
of
Key
Biscayne
Police
Department.
John
is
currently
part
of
the
Broward,
Palm
Beach,
and
Maritime
C.L.C. |

and
