Steve Myers

(Business Agent)

  Steve was born in Jacksonville, FL. In 1970 and moved to Vero Beach  in 1972 were he continues  to reside today.  Steve is married and has 2 children.

   In 1990, he began his career at the Water Treatment Plant for the City of Vero Vero Beach 1990. He went on to become a State Certified Water Plant Operator holding a  class  A  license. In 1996 he  took on the  challenge of  running for  Shop Steward  for his division at the Water Plant. He was  elected  as the Chief Shop Steward in 1998 for the City Bargaining Unit.

   In November of  2002 former President Bob Belans hired him to be a Business Agent for  local 769. As a Business Agent, Steve is responsible for representing members in the public (PERC) and private sector (NLRB). His duties include organizing new members, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, representing employees in grievances and arbitrations.

   Steve looks forward to  maintaining the high quality of representation that this local provides its members.
